Technically he was twelve by then... but still awesome!
Also, I liked the time when Harry was coming back from Quidditch practice and Ron and Hermione were playing chess, and it said "Chess was the only thing Hermione ever lost at, something Harry and Ron thought was very good for her."

I don't know if I have a favorite- I'm sort of a fan of when JK just mentioned how it was being played, or how it was a recreational thing for them to do. It seems like such a fun game@

I loved it when Ron played them through with super-sized, animated chess pieces. How they got through to the stone is one of my all-time favorites. Each of them was skilled at getting them through the obstacles:

Hermione w/ the devil's snare!
Harry w/ the broomstick and keys!
Ron w/ wizard's chess!
