Honestly, I think they are 100% equal. Two very important traits. But I want to know what others think.

I think they're both important & excellent qualities to have. But for the story, I think her intelligence was slightly more important.
Her quick-thinking & brains saved Harry & Ron loads of times....

i would say her intelegence because they needed her smarts most of the time. they needed her to find out the clues that they couldnt

it was pivotal for hermione to use her intelligence in SS as well as throughout the series...but without guts she wouldn't be able to face those situations and apply that intelligence...after all she was placed in Gryffindor.

She needed guts, true, but I think Hermione's intelligence was more important. Otherwise she would have been replacable by Ginny. Quite a few of the Gryffindors had guts, but it was because Hermione had brains that she was so crucial to the pratical problem-solving and knowledge base necessary for the Trio's, and thus the story's success.

I agree with that. While Hermione's qualities are equal her intelligence is more important to the story. Because as teddylupin said then she could have been replaced by Ginny if she hadn't been so smart.
