It's probably better they broke it off becasue who's relationship could stand that much pressure at the moment. They would hardly ever see each other, ya kno.

Ron definetly likes Hermione in 6 th book when hermione heard about that when harry had said that she's the best student of year and hermione said something like: really? thank you so much! Ron pissed off and told hermione that he would say the same think :P
