Strange. But he wasn't showing bravery when he handed the Potters to Voldy. As Sirius said, he was being a coward. I do doubt he was in Slytherin though.

If he was in Gryffindor, and I do believe he was, the hat must have had a reason to put him there. . .the hat's never wrong, right?
And I don't think that turning to the 'dark side' had anything to do with fear or courage. I think it was that Voldemort made him feel useful and wanted, unlike his friends.

My thoughts exactly if neville could make Gryffindor im sure pettigrew could have.

I think that is extremely unfair to Neville. Neville has shown his true colors throughout the books and, in some ways, has been more true to himself and brave than anyone.

Hear, hear!! At last, it doesn't seem like I'm Neville's only fan any more. He seriously gets a bad rap. I'm hoping that will change with the next movie.

I think that Neville is verry brave In OOTP he had the crap kicked out of him and he was still standing w Harry till Dumbeldor came. On Peter Has not shown his true colers he may still be a Hero. he dose have a life debt to Harry fron POA when Harry didn't let Sirius kill him

Peter has had plenty of opportunity to show true colors and he has spit in the face of all of them. The original betrayal of Lily and James, the twelve years of hiding out, - No. He has shown us his true colors.
