It'll make a huge difference if the cut out the "Dumbledore's Family" story! And the Grindelwald one! Those are the main reasons for Harry's confused feelings towards Dumbledore... it finally tells us what Dumbledore saw in the mirror... but wait a minute! They cut out the "thick, woolen socks" thing!
It sounds like its just going to be OotP all over again.

I think it should be when Ron first leaves, I'm not sure if that's too early, but I like the idea of Ron leaving and the movie ending, and then we get a new begining in the next movie...

I don't remember exactly when... more towards the end of the book, for sure- but Dumbledore saw with him his whole family, alive, well, together, and him forgiven.
