| True, we can’t expect JKR to fill in every detail. But she gave us enough for this. (Have I said this somewhere before?) Other creatures have magic that wizards do not. She doesn’t explain how Hedwig can find Sirius, when he is public enemy #1 and the entire Ministry is looking for him. She doesn’t explain how Dobby can disperate inside Hogwarts when humans can not. It works for me an I don’t see it as inconsistant. In OoP, Fawkes came out of nowhere and saved Dumbledore. That’s what Fawkes does. He had done it before. It makes sense to me. |

She found Harry, too, in PoA. Tom of the Leaky Cauldron was impressed -- "Smart Owl you've got there..." No one told her that Harry was there. She just somehow knew. It's what Hedwig does. It's what Dobby does. It's what Fawkes does, and we don't really need an explanation. Last edited by Psyduck : 02-11-2008 at 07:59 AM. |

| Yes Malfoy did disarm Dumbledore which means that Malfor was the owner but he did not pick it up and claim it. It was left behide and buried with Dumbledore. It did not work great magic for Voldamort because he did not win it he took it. When Harry took it he claimed it, so it worked for him. |

| it seems that for someone to become the master of the elder wand he has to beat(not kill)the previous owner of the wand, and the fact that Malfoy had never even touched the wand is unimportant because it is the owner you must beat. About why Harry survived,he had a piece of Voldy's soul in him.For the Horcrux to be destroyed if it is completely unrelated to the host, the host can remain intact... i hope i helped.. |
