| Agree. I don't reckon she stated Dumbledore as a gay at the beggining . It's just that she wanted to draw attention again and she exploit this issue since someone mentioned it . And the news said that she urged her fans to "question authority." Well , that was funny . Last edited by Rita Skeeter : 10-22-2007 at 06:40 AM. |

| I was just shocked for the whole night when I found out. There are going to be a lot of videoes and things now that she outs him. I honestly didn't even think about Dumbledore having any kind of life during the whole entire book. More power to Dumbledore and Mrs. Rowling |

I figured JKR would eventually get around to it, but she never did. I imagined him having a wife (long gone) and a couple of kids who would be around 125 years old by now if they're still around. Maybe girls, so that his great-great-great-great grandchildren would have lots of different last names. Maybe some of them in Harry's own class. And what about Aberforth and any offspring? The woods should have been full of the Dumbledore clan. Actually, now that I think about it, we do know a few things. In his "youth," he once ate a Bertie Botts Bean, which is impossible because Bertie wasn't born until Dumbledore was old. (Around 80 or so?) We learned recently about his family, his time as a student and his adolesence. He became a teacher while still young enough to have auburn hair. He was an advisor to many Ministers, involved in the Wizengamit and I forget how many other things. His famous 1945 duel with Grindy-whatsit was mentioned in Book One. He became Headmaster of Hogwarts at about the age of 92. (He was about 70 years older than little Tom Riddle, Tom graduated at 17 or so when Dippet was Headmaster, Voldemort returned about ten years later when Dumbledore was Headmaster, 70 + 17 + 10 = 97.) And this is all just off the top of my head. I'm sure if someone wanted to do a little research, it would show a fairly rich and full life, without all that much mystery. |
