It follows the rules of latin pronounciation. the 'c' is always 'hard' - never 's' http://www.spx.org/departments/forei...Fleurguide.pdf Although if you follow 'religious latin' Ecclesiastical Latin the rules for 'c' are a bit more complicated. I did assume 'accio' = 'at-chi-oh' However, I had no idea how to pronounce Hermione though. it looked like 'Her- mi - own' or 'Her-mi-won'. I certainly did not count on 'Her-Mi-on-knee' |

| Well I had seen the first film before reading the books so I just took the pronounciation of Hermione from the film. It took me ages to accept Sirius was "serious" though! *lol* When I was reading the third book, I thought it couldn't possibly be pronounced "serious" so I kept reading it as Si-rus. I also read accio as A-see-o But I just assume the film pronounciation must be right |

| Lol about flannel/Flamel! I know what you mean Psy. I just ignored the film pronounciation. But I must admit, 'akkio' annoyed me! Assio sounds better imo. I always said the 't' in Voldemort. Voldemore sounds wierd to me now. I just wondered if there was a difference between U.K/U.S etc.... I know loasa people who said Hermy-one |
