without trying to start a gender war....

how many teen-age boys do you know that would notice or following the advice of a girl who 'is' always right. Not many boys would want to follow what the girl said... I'm sure they'd be trying to find the one opportunity where she ISNT right....

and when I say 'teen-age boys' - well - it's the safest way to write this, given that it's in response to the Harry Potter series....

but - gees - in my real life too.... men don't follow the advice of the girl who is always right....

Well, no gender generalizations, but Harry and Ron are both thickheaded for a good portion of the series. I don't think Hermione is necessarily narrow-minded, but she does still have somehwat of a Muggle perspective, and she usually needs hard proof (from books) instead of just gut feeling.
