I appluad Harry for that, but I still have not and most likely will not forgive JKR for that (and many other) injustices.

share. What other injustices?
and by the way, I would like to analyze your signature. But let's talk injustices first. I thinking Lupin and Tonks as a trade for Mr. W? anything else?

I really, really do not think that Sirius, Remus, and Tonks are considered a fair trade for Mr. Weasley, not that even JK should barter lives like that. Especially when both Sirius and Remus went through so much in their lifetimes. Ron's always complaining about how big his family is, why shouldn't Harry get a single parent figure that survives? Teddy, as well, raised as an orphan.
Fred's death, because seperating twins is just downright cruel.
The fact that no one except possibly Dobby had a decently written death scene.
The fact that that entire generation died. Not a single one we knew by name, not even Wormtail, survived. James, Lily, Sirius, Pettigrew, Severus/Remus, because we don't even know who died first.
Winky, who was completely ignored as a character and not mentioned a single time in all of Deathly Hallows.
Severus, who doesn't even get a portrait as Headmaster until much later. Is puroposefully left out of that chapter while Dumbledore, even after everything, is still the mentor and grandfatherly figure.
The epilogue, simply because her loyal fans deserved something better written than "All was well." as an ending to series we held so close.

JKR is a really good writer. We wouldn't all be here if she were'nt. But I agree I was apalled and disheartened by Snape's quiet fadeout after he had been so central a figure. The portrait should have automatically got to the Headmaster's room; Dumbledore' did. I don't remember anyone physically putting up a portrait of Dumbledore in the room. If picture's of dead Headmasters get there automatially, why this wait for Snape's portrait to reach there? Why would Harry have to bash heads because of it?

Just a short "what if" question.
What if Snape survives?
How could he proof that he was working on Dumbledores order.
Except Harry no one would believe him.
And whatever has happened through 7 books, no one from the "official side" of the whizzarding world has ever believed Harry.
So, Snape would have been in Azkaban quicker than he could say "Dumbledore".

Veritaserum. Severus' memories. Dumbledore's portrait. Harry, savior of the Wizarding World, testifying in favor of Severus. That would hold quite a lot of sway, but it would be a tough battle nonetheless. Testimony under Veritaserum should be sufficent, if the Ministry was fair.

Now, this is the question. In his last scene Snape begged V to let him bring Harry to him. What would he have done? I know he wanted to save Harry above all - but he also understood DD's message that Harry was the sacrifice to save all. Would he have brought Harry to V or what?

The most important role for Severus to play was to get to Harry and tell/show/convince Harry (of) the truth. After that, I imagine it would depend on Harry's reaction, and how the following battle played out. Severus might have resumed his role as spy until the last moment when Harry needed protection from the DE other than Voldemort, or he could have openly declared his loyalties (which would have been dangerous and possibly even foolhardy). It's hard to say exactly how things would have panned out- especially since we don't know what Severus suspected, as far as the completeness of what Dumbledore told him (I can imagine that Severus would come to the conclusion that Dumbledore didn't really mean for Harry to die, in one way or another. All speculation, of course.)

Bottom line: Would Snape have brought Harry to V?
