who is the New misister

Do you think that Kingsyl will remain the Minister or will someone else do it
People think that Persey will be ministre some day. I see him Staying with the brother Was it fred or George i always get them mixed up

Well fred died so it can't be him. and Percy will NEVER be minister, i hope to the heavens, because otherwise the future of the magical world is doomed. plus he was seen working for hogwarts in the epilogue anyway, he clearly realised his fate was student control - like his prefect years - he had very little personality for a future so major.

i think kingsley would have remained minister for quite some time, probably even while harry and ron were parents, and they most likely worked as aurors, as dumbeldore lived for 130+ years, i do believe kingsley's abilities enable him to live up until this same memorable age. he remained a great great wizard for the whole duration of the books!
the only person i would like to see take over would be teddy lupin if he took in his mother and fathers footsteps of being great wizards - especially in the dark arts (which usually meant they were quite bright and intuitive!)

It was mentioned, or implied, I think, in one of JK's interviews that Kingsley is Minister, and not just the temporary one from DH itself. Of course, we have no way of knowing how long he will stay as Minister, but I think its' safe to say that during the epilogue of DH he is still the Minister.
On another note, I would be intrested in becoming Minister, however the idea of following in my fathers footsteps and teaching DADA has also appealed to me. (But in case, since you never know: Vote for me, Teddy Lupin!)

well that's right, thats all we can hopefully assume,
kingsley was such a remarkable charcter and never strayed and i never (as everyone else would have) never doubted his loyalty. at times i thought if anyway was to betray it may be him as we were only introduced at a late stage, but since that point, he was such a loyal companion and friend to the characters.
i could only hope he took teddy (you) under his wing to teach and show the ropes of fighting the dark arts ( i assume the only dark arts around in the 'future' are old death eaters, and stupid wizards etc)
therefore teddy would have made a great minister... fair to all creatures, changing the future of all previous prejudice judgements of species etc

no one better for the job!
or dada for that matter! a very signifcant character none the less, i doubt teddy would just be sitting home twiddling his thumbs in the future

Of course not! At the very least, I would be adovcating werewolf rights or becoming an Auror. (Thank you, thank you!)

By the way, Percy does work for Kingsley, as an undersecretary- and he really isn't that bad, as we see in DH, probably just boring.

jk did say in that post interview that Kingsley was still minister during the epilogue and that it was kingsley who recommended harry as the top position, top auror.

Good to know, thanks Ariana. I knew I read something along thos lines but I couldn't remember exactly what.
I think it would be intresting to see Hermione as Minister (is there a female version of that) because I can see her as similar to Amelia Bones, -though I do not want to see her killed, obviously,- and I thought Bones would have been a great replacement for Fudge before HBP.

I would engage him in intelligent discussion and listen to his views. I doubt it would be that difficult. After DH he really does seem better.

I BELIEVE, although I don' think it was ever mentioned, that you have to be appointed by the Wizengamont, possibly by popular vote.

yeh that's what i had thought...

and Percy, well as much as he was a real fool in most of the books, i think the way he redeemed himself was a big step for him. like Fred had acknowledged, he was trying to make jokes etc. I think he had just got himself in far too deep in regard to ignoring his family, he could find no way of going back easily.
