The creatures of JK were overall, so compellingly fun. Within all of her books -Loved the plot, loved the character development/relationships - but much of the fun came from the elves, dragons, goblins, and other magical creatures of the series.
I will miss them!!! (I sound like Hagrid! - need to go get a hanky)

There's actually a really good fanfiction on ffnet about this. I mean its obviously not canon-canon, but it follows canon. It ties up a lot of loose ends for those of you, who like me, were itching for SOMETHING about Portrait!Snape.

I think it was called Eternity.

J.K said today that the reason Snape didn't have a portrait is because he 'fleed' his post. But that Harry would clear his name. Or somethin like that anyway.

Argh... okay, I've officially decided that JK seriosuly hates Snape.

He does NOT get a BREAK. He "fled" his post because he wasn't about to fight people he was on the same side with.

I really liked the idea of a Portrait Snape too.

Honestly, you've got a point here. We are talking about the Wizardry world here and magic has advantages. DD -- even DD's portrait -- knows that Snape had to flee to protect the plan. It was really very noble. At some point he could have crumbled.

Snape is becoming more and more a tragic character.

As I said, he's firmly there in my mind. What were the sticking encantations that Sirius used to put the posters up in his room?

I read the JK interview and she said that Harry would get Snape's portrait up on the wall...don't worry teddylupin!
