Where's Snape???

The only reason I think he might is because he was willing to give Harry his memory. Before that, I would have said no way, but after that, maybe. I think it will take a lot of warming up -- maybe some encouragement from DD, but who knows.

Of course we are completely in the realm of speculation here . . .

I think that since the ministry appointed Snape even if they were crooked that Snapes protrait will eventually be up. Maybe Harry just didn't see it?

I really wonder about that - I hope JK addresses it in her encyclopedia - Think about all that Harry could learn from Snape if the animosity was gone.

I think Snape's picture is definitely in the Headmaster's room. He did occupy it for a year. Maybe its something magically automatic for someone who occupied that room. Dumbledore's picture turned up there by itself I think right after he died. He was sleeping then. This theory also holds true for Umbridge's portrait not being there. She was never able to get into that room.

I would like to ask another question regarding where Snape is.

Where is Snape's body buried? Who attended the funeral? Was there a funeral?

Well now that I've asked; it looks like there's more than one question.

Did all the pictures in the Headmaster's room get there after they died?

Dumbledore's picture wasn't there after he was sacked .. only after he died.

So another question follows:

Will the Umbridge hag's picture be there after she dies?
I sure hope my theory on - only the pictures of those occupying the room - is correct.

That brings up lots of funeral issues for that last book too, doesn't it? Memorials and all for the fallen . . .

Yeah..see what I mean when I say that I think that the last book was rushed. Too many unresolved issues. There should have been a chapter at the end titled..'Aftermath' .. or 'Settleing In' .. or as I would put it 'UNRESOLVED ISSUES!!'
