Worshipped Snape from pretty much the beginning, so it was on rereading the Prince's Tale that I caught my favorite, and most heartbreaking quote, the one I now use for my signature, with some parts edited out to remain essentially spoiler free.

I have read the book twice and i noticed somthing odd. In the chapter (A flaw in the plan) I noticed that there must have been a type-o. At the point befor Harry reveles that he is not dead and the big battles aer going on there is a spot that has Slugworth going against a member of the order and then he is batteling Voldermort in the next paragreph. I don't know where it is excatyl where it is but look for it. I will post the page # whrn I have my book
What else have you noticed?

Yes, do post the page number. I'm being very slow in the rereading -- I'm not at that part yet.

I'm having a much harder time rereading it than I thought I would. I'm thinking about putting it down. I picked up another book the other day called, Magyk that I'm anxious to start.

Quite a few reviewers said they found Deathly Hallows rather slow, which I found ridiculous, but I can see how for someone who isn't a crazed HP fan, it could be boring in some areas. Once the first shock wears off, it somehow doesn't seem quite as good- but I'm sure if you were to read the entire series from start to finish you would be itching to read the 7th.

In my book, the American version at least, I can't find a typo- it just says Slughorn, Kingsley, and McGonagall are fighting against Voldemort.

i wonder how different the american copies are to uk (aussie) copies. hopefully not much, otherwise it would defeat the purpose, we all understand the same language. it really threw me when america's first book was called the socerer's stone, i thought there had been serious prejudice assigned to american's, as if they didn;t know the world philospher?! but i understand there were minor differences, thank goodness!

no one should be spared or anything from the truth of these stories, in any version of the english language!!!!

I actually have the US versions of books 1-5, and 7, and the UK version of HBP- but I didn't notice anything majorly different between that one and the rest of them, at least the plot made sense.
I don't really understand why they changed philosopher to sorcerer, my only guess is that it was a marketing technique because philosopher has less of a magical connotation- it reminds me, personally, of Socrates and the like.

I had a HP hangover when I finished-- sad it's over but I felt a little better to pick up the really exciting chapters and reread. I don't think I can reread the whole book again yet. It needs to simmer a little bit. But like I said I went back and reread the sections that had high action or sections I was unsure of.

My brother pointed out that once Ron comes back be he constantly whines for Hermione, I didn't notice that at all but after reading it over in places I can see what he means.

Interesting way to describe it, although that's what I did too. I think I went through the 5 stages of death, denial, anger, etc. after I finished reading DH. (I might still be stuck on anger for two certain characters.)

One of my favorite lines in the book was from Ron whining over Hermione:
"All's fair in love and war, and this is a bit of both." (After voting in favor of Hermione to go see Lovegood. XP)
