I am repeating what I wrote yesterday. I think Hermione's purse and the cloak of invisibility would be the most useful instruments. If I had to grab two things in a hurry I would grab those two things. The wands seem somewhat fragile and require a certain amount of thought and skill.

I really could do with Mad Eye's magic eye. Not that I'm complaining about the one's I've got though.

Umbridge ending up with it was so very pathetic.

hermiones purse reminded me of most womens, everything in it except the kitchen sink at least harry found a novel way of finding what he needed(accio) i usually have to empty the entire contents to find what im lookin for lol.

Yes it would be very handy to be able to command things out of my purse.

If i was in a hurry, i would take the invisibility cloak with me, could come in handy. (And the wand of course)

The deluminator (sp) wouldn't be too bad an item to have around either. But a penseive would be really interesting.

I think I'd still want my wand though.

In order to feed my HP addiction after finishing #7 I have resorted to renting (from the library) the movies I can locate. (I can't reread #7 because I loaned it to mysister in Yosemite.)Have watched all of #1 and part of #2 (I can not stay awake with the television on after 10 or 10:30. It is pitiful).

Anyway it is interesting that Ddore appears and uses the deluminator almost immediately. It is a nice touch and foreshadowing in #1 of #7 and I wonder whether it was just fortuitous.

Actually -- I'd love to see JKR's storyboard (if she has one) in hindsight to see where she'd planned to go and where she deviated. I think it would be very telling to see how the story "stuck to plan" and how it took on a life of it's own.

That would be ext. interesting. In the Vieira interview she talked about having copious notes, but it's hard to imagine how she kept everything organized. A storyboard, though would have to be immense.

I've also wondered if she wrote a dictionary to hold all of her new inventions. Or maybe she just has a mind that can hold onto all of those details.

She really created a wonderful world.
