The saddest moment?

I think the saddest moment was when Harry was walking to his death. Realizing your entire life depended on how long it takes to destroy Horcruxes...rough. But the worst part of that was when Harry looks at his mom and says "Stay with me." or something like that.

The saddest part of Snape's memories to me was when he was looking through Sirius' old room and was crying over Lily's old letter.

yeah i agree with victoire. it stir me very as harry ask to the deaths " does it hurt".... my eyes were so filled with tears...

One of the most powerful moments to me, in that chapter, aside from looking at his parents, Sirius, and Remus, was Harry kissing the Snitch and saying, "I am about to die." and the whole "I open at the close".

I thought the saddest moment was when Snape said:
"For him? Expecto Patronum!" And that doe, and "After all this time?" "Always." Although the most heart-wrenching part was when I thought Harry had to die.
And why have none of you mentioned Hedwig? Talk about someone I thought was indestructible...

I thought he was indestructible too. I think he's not mentioned more because so much happened in that chapter. It was kind of slipped in. But it was a huge event. Also JKR didn't let Harry dwell on it as much as she could (maybe should) have.

I agree with you on that one, which is why the section is my signature.
I wasn't expecting Hedwig to die specifically, but she was the first to fall, and I kept the "Two main characters will die" thing in the forefront of my mind, so it was more "Poor Hedwig. First to be offed."

Poor mcD, you are not a dum-dum, not in the least. A very professional and intelligent Harry Potter fan, yes, but most definetly not a dum-dum.

Snape's "Look at me" was the worst for me. I didn't fully comprehend that he just wanted to see Lily's eyes one last time until later...that part just gets sadder and sadder every time I think about it, gut-renching.
