Default Things the movies neglect that they will regret

This came up in another thread, but it seems that the movies have neglected things/people that will be important in the wrap up when it comes time to do #7

Off the top of my head, it seems that their neglect of Dobby and Kreacher will come back to haunt them.

What else do you think will be a regret?

The movie audience who have not read the book will simply not "get" Dobby and Kreacher. That is a big loss. I wonderful if they will leave Dobby out?

That will be a huge loss in the last movie IMHO, but there are so many losses in the movies -- most of them relational.

Last movie was too short - Hope that doesn't happen on the movie for Book 7 - I agree the elves are vital! (so states j-elf)

As much as they have cut Dobby out of the stories, I was honestly shocked to see Kreacher at all in the 5th movie. I can see how they could write them out of the 6th one easily, I suppose.

Was Lily in the movie when Harry went into Snape's memory? I don't remember her - and that was important when she stood up for Snape, and then he called her a Mudblood - his worst memory... because that's when she gave up on him...

No, it never showed her in the memory. Maybe they will include that part in his memories in movie 7.

I'm hoping that they will do an 'extended version' or 'directors cut' of the movies. they always film more than they show. They edit many many scenes before deciding on the final version.
I live in hope that some 'flashbacks' are inserted that help to explain plot omissions from earlier movies....

*fingers crossed*

Bit of a conundrum, really, because screenwriters think this is a minor character, or this isn't important, and of course, it really turns out to be... although I'm liable to blame the directors/producer of the movies for just leaving ANYTHING out.

Was Regulus mentioned at all? Certainly not enough, for his role to be understood.

Fleur was cast as a very girly French school's Triwizard Champion- not as Bill's fiancee/wife. Who, actually, has yet to appear in a single movie.

Any mention of Goblins other than the first Gringrotts scene?

A lot of little things you realized later had a lot of importance... the locket in 5th, the tiara in 6th, Gregorovitch in 4th. Had Grindelwald even been mentioned?
