Lupin!!!

Okay this has popped up in other threads, but the more I've thought about it the more stressed it has got me.
Did anyone else feel that the way Lupin died was REALLY unfair for the kind of character he was. He was a kind, decent and most of all brave man (not unlike Harry, Ron, James and Sirius). And yet he was just dumped on the floor in the Hall without so much as a explanation of how he died. No saving anyone's life, no defeating DE's. NOTHING.
Dobby died a hero, Fred died fighting but Lupin - one minute I'm here, next minute, dun!!!!
He was seriously one of my favourite characters and true there was a good chance he might die but not like that surely???

when JK said she killed off two more - I suspect it was lupin and tonks - their deaths just were -there-, maybe she wanted all of Jame's friends with Harry in the forest.

Yeah, Lupin had a good chance of goin. He deserved a last battle tho.

That's why I missed it! I knew I was getting tired! I knew I was dozing. I was rereading to make sure I was picking up what I was missing in the last couple of hours and then all of the sudden I realized that Lupin was dead and it was like NO! when did that happen? how did that happen? how did I miss that?

I was sitting in bed reading. I swear I made my husband jump because I was so upset right then.

I wonder who "got" him and Tonks? Maybe it will be in the encyclopedia - ? I suspect they went together as Tonks was so determined to find him.

It better be in the encyclopedia!!! I REALLY wanna know who killed him. I shall hate them as much as LV and Bellatrix (if it wasn't her).

Which does bring up the contrast between Lupin and Bill.

Lupin was raised as one who had to deal with being a werewolf and it kept him from really living. Bill otoh didn't place the same restrictions on himself because he had only recently had it happen -- he was willing to really live.

As long as he got his steak rare!
