Elder Wand - Malfoy

We can't find our 6th book. Can someone here explain why Malfoy became the master of the Elder wand.

malfoy was supposed to get the elder wand because he was trying to kill dumbledore. whereas snape had been asked to so he wasnt beating dumbledore.

Plus Snape was bound to help Draco by the Unbreakable Vow, therefore acting for Draco.

The key to the flaw was intent.

It was Draco who disarmed Dumbledore on the tower. Harry later claimed ownership of the first Hallow - Elder Wand - by in turn disarming Draco, even though Draco was using a different wand. Disarmament is paramount to defeat I think. Voldemort alone was of the opinion that only death meant defeat. Even Dumbledore, when he gained ownership of the wand, did not kill Grindelwald.

Thanks to everyone who replied. We figured it out, but I appreciate the thoughtful responses. We bought three books for our family because none of us wanted to have to wait. I think this was the best book of all.

what did happen to Grindlewald? I can't remember if it said anything?

My brother and I were both a little confused about the "rightful owner" of the wand. I agree with alohamora-- that was basically the conclusion we came to-- the wand used to disarm Dumbledore was Malfoy's and when Harry won the wand by disarming Malfoy he then possessed the conquering wand. When he used the wand to disarm Voldemort the Elder wand recognized the wand that had disarmed it from it's "rightful owner" Dumbledore.

I think I could have just left well enough alone-- Alohamora's explaination might have been clearer.

the reason why malfoy became the master is cause, he was ment to kill dulmbedore but never did, and the headmaster asked snape to kill him, so the wand took it as though draco killed him, so draco was the owner they kinda of tricked the wand

I think you were wise to buy three books. Too irritating to be passing one back and forth.
