Default Favourite Parts in Deathly Hallows

I noticed parts in this book - as in all the others - where your heart skips a beat, gasp or even cry.
for me;
- hermione saving the boys at the wedding and taking them to safety - managing to bring everythingg they need! smart girl
she did the same when they were in lovegood's house and managed to cover ron with the cloak, blast a hole through the floor so they saw harry and therefore spared harry.

- kreacher becoming their friend, and then doing all he could to help.

- dobby saving the day, in his little heroic fashion

- harry's huge brain wave, where he suddenly realises that everything links together, realising that dumbeldore had the elder wand all along!

- basically the entire chapter explaining snapes memories, and his basically life-long dedication to Lily, his bravery in his duties from both sides, and the strength it took for him to kill dumbeldore and face the hatred from the order. then carrying it on until the second before his death. all for love. the one thing voldemort never seemed to acknowledge as his weakness. - and where you get to the stage when dumbeldore explains that harry must know he is the final horcrux..i had thought that, but still my heart sank.

- When they are saved in hogsmeade, and then when harry looks up and sees the blue eye, and figures out that its aberforth. my heart sank again, i was so relieved to know he was there.

finally the most touching part i think
- harry turning the stone in his hands, and his 4 loved ones - James, Lily, Sirius and Lupin. Giving him their love and support.

The death of Doby was very upsetting for me. I knew characters would die but Dobby was so sweet.

I know that I can't wait for the movie to see the battle snape and McGonagall. Even just reading the words I had to keep from jumping up and shouting encouragement.

I think that Snape's memories in the penseive (sp) was my absolute favorite part -- then Kreachur telling about Regulas and what he was willing to do for him along with his turn around.

I think I was crying through all of the Prince's tale so I had to go back a couple of times to read it. Excellent chapter! Do you think that Snape told Harry to look at him so that he would die looking into Lily's eyes?

Thumbs up Re: Favourite Parts in Deathly Hallows

I have to say that my fave part of the book was the final downfall of Voldemort. I have to admit that the whole time I was reading that part I was chewing my fingernails hoping that Harry wouldn't die when he finally killed him. I also LOVED the part where Molly kills Bellatrix. I think my least fave parts were the deaths of Dobby, Fred, Lupin and Tonks. I know there had to be sadness and loss on both sides, but why did she have to kill Fred and Dobby.

Looking into her eyes as he died - That is exactly what I thought - the most poignant moment of the book. I hope they nail it in the movie.

I'd say one of my favourite bits was when Ron came back. Turned the story around. Also when Harry saw the nice side to Snape and that he loved his mother. I knew it was comin but I still loved that Harry got to see it like that.
Gotta say, I was soooooo happy when Bellatrix died but woulda preferred it if Lupin had finished her off. He was cut up about Sirius and that woulda been fittin if he coulda had his revenge. I HATED her.
