Mostly i am satisfied. It was bittersweet.
Knowing all was well, everything had worked out etc. But also knowing that once i shut that book there wasn't going to be anymore stories.
I think i would have liked JK to include more about the aftermath...things like whether the malfoys spoke to harry, what neville did - whether his gran had survived. I think i would have also liked Harry to have had more to do with teddy lupin, and more about everyone else 19 years later. not just the station. i did like that he had named his children that, and that they were the same ages as hermiones and rons!

Bittersweet is a good term to use. I knew that's how I'd feel about the close regardless of how I felt about the book.

There was another series I finished last year. The Bartemaus Trilogy. It was really good and that's how I felt about it. Bittersweet. It was very well written - the author could have taken it much farther and chose not to. Hard to accept.

Satisfied? In a word, NO!!! We always knew it would come to an end. But I never dreamed, the last book would be one of the worst.

Good point. And Harry was frequently less than satisfied, wasn't he?

Have to say I was thinkin about half way through, is this some kind of joke book she has released before the real one. It's true, we were told basic information. ONLY what we needed to know.

I loved the book and can't understand why so many people didn't. Why does everyone think that she did such a bad job on the story? Do you feel she should have followed him his entire life? I think the book was awesome.

i loved this book also, but i do feel she could have wrote just a few more pages for the epiloge. i wonder if harry ever saw the dursleys again after all he a dudley seemed to sort out their differences and petunia seemed to want to tell harry something. I was also wondering about Dean Thomas and Luna did they get it together or was i imagining they were getting close??
