Well, I got the impression that the U.S. cover art was the duel in the grat hall, the trouble is, Harry was never without a wand during that scene. |

| Perhaps she was referring to Neville? Although, he really had improved since DA days. I agree that the UK child and adult covers are much better than the US cover. I think the US cover is Harry and Voldermort in the final chapters, with Hogwarts rubble around them. The sun comes up at the final critical point, and I think that is what it is depicting. Page 743 "A red-glow burst suddenly across the enchated sky above them as an edge of dazzling sun appeared over the sill of the nearest window. The light hit both of their faces at the same time, so that Voldermort's was suddenly a flaming blur." |

| Do we have different cover art in the US because there is a different publisher? I've always thought the UK work was better. AND they get two -- and adult and kids version. I also didn't like that this one was orange. I don't know why that bothered me but it did. (so profound I know! and not a thing to do with the actual OP) |

| I have also been trying to figure out who did magic later in life. I could only thinkg of 2 people who it could have been: 1) Dudley--because he showed that he somewhat cared about Harry, thus exemplifying the whole 'love is the greatest magic' scheme 2) Trelawny--during the ending battle, she was using a wand to levitate orbs and fight back--she was a seer and always thought of as a fraud...had she ever done magic before? Just my thoughts... |

| good thoughts though! i was leaning towards dudley myself but i really cannot think of anybody else im pretty sure in POA trelawny mended the tea cup which neville had smashed with magic but i could be wrong |
| |||
| Nope--she cleaned it up and told him to use a pink(?) one instead. |
| |||
| Actually, she never said it was a squib that managed to do magic, nor did she say the person had never done magic before. Maybe it was RON!? He did manage to speak Parsletounge to open the chamber of secrets... |
