Default Question for the end? **Spolier**

What was the thing or person under the chair when Harry and Dumbledore was talking at King's Cross. They never get into that. Also what happened to the rest of the people? We know what happened to Ginny & Harry (Lily, James & Albus their kids) Ron & Hermione with Rose and Hugo. Who is Victorie? What happened to George? I know Teddy Lupin is about 19 years old. What happened to Luna? Do you think she will write another eventually going into what happened after and go into just a little more detail on what happened to the rest of the people. I would like to know...

GREAT questions....

I have no idea who that baby is? I wonder if its not symbolic of the child harry could have been if everything hadnt happened .... crazy i know but a thought as if a part of Harry did die that day his parents got killed....
Im wondering if Victoria isnt Bill and Fluers daughter? Maybe she got pregnant soon after the war ended? I hope she writes something giving us more details on everyones lifes.....she certainly left the door open all anyone bad needs to do is defeat Harry in a battle and the wand is theres if they can find it..... what happend to Voldies loyal followers? I need to know what Job did Harry get Ron to for that matter and how is George without Fred? ? ? and Who are Rose and hugo named after? hermiones parents? Did she go take the spell off of them and reunited with them? And yes indeed what is Luna up to and Cho and Heck so many questions remain...lots of stories that could be wrote IMHO! LOL

page 706
"It had the form of a small, naked child, curled on the ground, its skin raw and rough, flayed-looking, and it lay shuddering under a seat where it had been left, unwanted, stuffed out of sight, struggling for breath...
...small and fragile and wounded...whimpering..."

page 725,
"The Death Eaters had been huddled around Voldemort, who seemed to have fallen to the ground. Something had happened when he had hit Harry with the Killing Curse. Had Voldemort too collapsed? It seemed like it. And both of them had fallen briefly unconscious and both of them had now returned..."

page 741
"It's your last chance," said Harry, "it's all you've got left... I've seen what you'll be otherwise..."

I just assumed that it was Voldemort, and that all three of them were there at King's Cross, though Voldemort was in no condition to pay much attention to their conversation.

Now that I think again, maybe it was the shard of Voldemort's soul that had made Harry a horcrux, now removed.

So many questions remain.

i agree i was under the impression it was the part of voldemorts soul that had been inside harry, as when harry asked dumbledore what it was he replied "something that is beyond either of our help".
I think Victorie must have been bill and fleurs daughter does anyone agree the name sounds french and she was said to have been related to the weasleys.it was a great ending but a few more pages of details would have been great but good on jk she deserves a well earned rest

I was under the mpression that it was part of voldemort too.

I was also thinking that it was Bill and Fleur's daughter, but it will have to remain a guess unless she does more interviews with fans and answers more questions.

Cme to think of it, she probably will. Wee should post anything as we hear about it. Any interviews with her on the radio/tv/internet.

What about Charley? The dragon keeper Weasley--when the family got together, where was he?

Percy was on the train--did that make him a conductor or something more closely related to the school as he was talking about rules?

I think you may be correct about Bill and Fleur's daughter as the name does sound a little like French.

I also am of the opinion that the form was the piece of Voldemort's soul now defeated, and beyond help. The remorse Harry looked for in Voldemort at the end we saw in Severus Snape. That would be the redeeming factor in Severus. With Voldemort's soul split so many ways, I really do not believe he had a chance. The fact that Harry tried makes him more like Dumbledore than ever.

I picture the 'flayed child' as being something like the creature Voldemort was before he was resored in Goblet. Definitely the part of Voldemort that was removed from Harry's being.

i agree with all thats been said.
my thoughts...
i definitely think it was bill and fleur's daughter, it sounded as though her name was similiar to viktor krum's.. perhaps they had remained friends, we dont know, but it sounds like a feminine french name for sure.

and the whole kings cross situation,
i thought perhaps that this symbolised lives in limbo - somewhere between life and death. This means i think that the small childlike creature was what was left of voldemorts existence, his 2 remaining pieces of his soul - which still resided in himself, and nagini who had not yet been killed.
then again it could have easily been the horcrux of voldemort which had been forced out of his body upon the killing curse. then dumbeldore would have preferred it be left to die

Also i think Dumbeldore was much too smart/powerful to fully pass over. i always questioned whether fawkes could have played some part in this, either way there is i think a chance that he could not be entirely 'dead'.
i mean it is a world of magic afterall!
i am also lead to think this because when harry has the stone, there are only 4 people who return to see him, lily, james, lupin and sirius, i am sure if harry had the choice he would have wanted to see dumbeldore..
"so why would you take the stone?" Ron asked him.
"Well if you could bring people back, we could have Sirius, Mad-Eye...Dumbeldore.. my parents"
perhaps if dumbeldore wasn't technically dead, he would have returned. As for mad-eye, i'm not sure?

but i am probably looking too far into it!

So much left unanswered. Could JKR be... might she have all along been planning an eighth book, but wants us to believe certain things for the moment?

I don't think so. Besides, if she was, there'd be no need to write an epilogue.
