That is a really good idea, except that either way Death Eaters were going to attack the group coming out of the Privet Drive wards. We have no way of knowing if the DE would attack EVERYONE, including Polyjuiced Harry, because they didn't have orders not to kill any of them, or if they would do something else. The Seven Potters was risky, but it afford the Polyjuiced a certain amount of protection because the DE were not aiming to kill, and Voldemort only wanted to kill the REAL Harry. As long as they could get away, it wasn't just shooting AK's everyone because there are no Potter(s) to accidently hit in the crossfire, which may have happened if Harry was disguised as a twin. Knowing that the Cloak is one of the Hallows, I think I would have had the six Potters, and then the real one under the cloak with someone on a broom. Maybe. In the battle scenes, the alternatives can go so wrong.

Feeding the polyjuice potion to Harry may have been a good idea, but also remember that the Death Eaters were killing on sight all but harry, so in disguising them as Harry and having the real Harry be himself, it was somewhat protecting him and the fakes from being killed.

Maybe they could have become fake Harrys and then put the disillusionment charm on everyone. Then they would be doubly protected. They only problem would be that they might have run into each other!

no ur quite right. i see what u mean i think he should have changed into one of them. but then i think it would have been obvious that one of the people (because there would have been two) would be the harry.. making it easier to find him

Voldemort knew that Harry was being moved that night, so if Harry was somebody else then Voldemort would probably just kill both people...I think seven made it more confusing for him...also I think it had to do with all the sevens we find in the series...
