Hi guys!!!

I love all Harry Potter books but my ultimate faves are : Goblet of Fire and Prisoner of Azkaban! Goblet was like a soap opera and a roller coaster ride with all its twists and Azkaban was like a mystery novel for me.

I have to say the 5th is my favorite too. I love the detail and the fact that the action happens outside of Hogwarts. I love the older wizards in the order and I love the scene in the ministry. It shows that the kids are gowing up and can face evil outside of Hogwarts. Cause at Hogwarts they are always protected by Dumbledore and his magic.

The Fourth, Goblet of Fire, has always been my fav....I, personally, don't feel that the 5th was as exciting...I realize a lot happens in the 5th, but I was a little "let down" for it...And, yet, I couldn't wait for the movie production of GOF, just to see how close they would come to portraying my mind's eye. ( The beauty of the books is that one can create their own pictures in their mind.)

My fave is the 3rd and 4th. They're so unpredictable and a lot of action. I haven't read the 5th and 6th yet....

Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone is my favorite. I htink that it is the best book because it's the first and the first is usually the best anyway. It shows when Harry first learned he was a wizard and I think that it is very cool. I really loved to read about his amazement at magic and I never get tired of reading the first book, or any of the Harry Potter books for that matter.

Personally, The Order of the Pheonix is my favorite. Although so far this poll suggests otherwise, most Harry Potter fans I have talked to have loved Prisoner of Azkaban and were not big fans of Order of the Pheonix. The people I have talked to say this is mostly because they cannot stand Umbridge. Well, of course you can't! You're not supposed to!

At any rate, here are some of the reasons I love Order of the Pheonix:
I am a big fan of Neville, and I (like I'm sure other Neville fans here will understand) had been waiting four entire books for Neville to really show his stuff. So, I was thrilled when he played a bigger role and really came out in Order of the Pheonix. He really showed how worthy he was of being a Gryffindor. (He had been showing sign of it all along of course, which is why us unabashed Neville-lovers had been waiting in the first place.

I love the DA. I love, love, love it. I love that those participating in it take the initiative to do what is right in spite of the trouble it may cause in their lives. And many of the characters really start coming into their own as a result.

Struggle. That's right. Struggle. This is very connected to the DA. Umbridges presence, as aggravating as it is (in fact, because of how aggravating it is) brings out the best and worst in people. It is really amazing to see the results. It is those in the DA's (especially Neville, Fred, George, and the trio) struggle against this tryrant that really puts a fire to them and gets them moving.

I also think Luna is a hoot.

And the scene at the Department of Mysteries is just absolutely fantastic!

I love Socerer's Stone, but I disagree with the idea that the first book is usually the best. That is often true with movie series, but not with books. The reason it is often true with films is that sequels are usually made as a way of making a buck of the success of the first one, and storytelling usually takes a backseat to marketing. Therefore, this rule doesn't neccessarily apply to the film versions of things such as Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, Narnia, and other series based on books, as the books were already written.
There are also other noticeable exceptions such as Toy Story 2 and Shrek 2 (I din't intentionally choose two animated films, they just happen to be two of the best sequels period)
