Snape. Should He Be Trusted?

I still cant get over the fact that snape is in the order .He is friends with the Malfoys . Or maybe he is just trying to get info from Lucius . I want to see what everyone thinks about this .

I think snape's evil... but i think he's on the Order's Side!

I actually think this sounds kinda Crazy but i hav a theroey that Wormtail is gonna save harry's life in the last book n then help Harry kill VOLDY!!!!!!

Ok yea see it sounds crazy but there was this 1 line in the 3rd book where Harry is like "I shouldn't hav saved wormtails life!" n Dumbledore is like "u saved his life n now his life is in debt 2 u!" well nuthing happend w/ that yet so I kinda think its a clue that Wormtail's gonna Save Harry! does that make n e sence!

That makes sence . I think wormtail will save harry. As for Snape i hope he stop being mean to harry and i hope he dosen't betray the order

Ok...... I wanted to know if u think snape should be trusted ? He dosen't like harry. SO he might betray the order and Voldemort can kill harry? but Miss potter was saying maybe wormtail will save harry since he sayed his life he might feel guilt and owe harry a favor or something

I think Snape can be trusted.
1. Dumbledore has proved to be an excellent judge of character.

2. Snape came back to the Ministry of Magic before the downfall of Lord Voldemort and gave crucial information.

3. He tried to save Harry's life on numerous occasions.

4. His own life was saved by James, since he's dead, Harry is the one Snape has been paying his debt too, he won't see him dead.

5. He didn't return to Voldemort the night of his return, I believe he was the one Voldemort said would be killed for treachery.

6. He wasn't (or wouldn't) able to give Umbrigede the veritaserum to question Harry (and he hates Harry!).

7. Snape interpeted the plea from Harry in book 5 about Padfoot being in trouble and acted upon it.

Need I say more? Snape isn't a perfect man, but he has his priorities straight.

I agree. (even thouth I cant stand Snape!!!) He is loyal to the Order and more importantly -- He is loyal to Dumbledoor -- and although I would never trust Snape on his word alone I agree with Hermione -- "Dumbledoor trust Snape" and I trust Dumbledoor.

Snapes obvious distane for Harry and Pleasure at seeing him in trouble is more about James Potter than Harry. Snape just can't see past harry's father. That hatred runs too deep!

Yep. Snape hates Harry, but he's not going to let that get in the way of his loyalties to Dumbledore.

Maybe I got this wrong, but I thought Snape was working for the Order of the Phoenix as a double agent? He was pretending to be a Death Eater and spying on them for the Order. If this is true, Snape's life won't be worth much if the Malfoys find out about it. Snape may be the next to catch his lunch. But then someone will have to take his place . . .
