I like Hermione best because she always is thinking, is very smart, and has a good personality. She can be on the grumpy side sometimes, but she is always a trustworthy friend and is always there for Harry and Ron. Especially when they need help with homework.

Lupin is my favorite character, but since he wasn't placed in the poll, I voted for Snape.
I like Snape a lot because there's so many facets to his character, he's mean to Harry and friends, but he fights for the right causes on the right side. It sounds like he had a lousy childhood before he went to Hgowarts, and once there, was picked on terribly by the two blokes! Not that he's to be held blameless, but, I don't know, he's just totally cool!

I didn't like Luna when I first read the book, but in my second reading I'm finding her less irritating. She's not afraid to be different, and she sticks up for her father in the face of derision and ridicule. How awesome is that!
