Is Dumbledore 'training' Harry or is he going into the Forbidden Forrest with him? Maybe to talk to Aragog? Aragog's in the CoS and we know there's some kind of link 'tween that and HBP) AND the fact that we had a whole chapter on Aragog and then he just kind of says: "Go away friends of Hagrid and be eaten" just didn't seem particularly relevant to anything much. What if Aragog comes back into it? Just a thought...

Do you have any idesas about whether this HBP is friend or foe yet?
Can't believe JKR would give Harry another enemy but then again maybe Pettigrew's been off, in the 5th bk, getting this HBP from where-ever... to use against Harry?? Too cruel JKR. Too cruel!!! (JKR did say that she wouldn't choose to be any of these characters because she knows what they're in for).

I've dragged this qote from JKR over in the hope that it might help us figure something out about the HBP.
Here, JKR is talking about HBP and its links to the CoS:
I was delighted to see that a hard core of super-bright fans knew that the real title was once, in the long distant past, a possibility for 'Chamber of Secrets', and from that deduced that it was genuine. Certain crucial pieces of information in book six were originally planned for 'Chamber of Secrets', but very early on (first draft of Chamber) I realised that this information's proper home was book six. I have said before now that 'Chamber' holds some very important clues to the ultimate end of the series. Not as many as six, obviously, but there is a link.

what, where, and who is edinburgh

maybe the hbp can speak possiltuge, there was no one in school other than harry that could and remmeber the dark lord and harry are both half blood yet they both talk to snakes so it has to be a new charicter

not all haf's talk to snakes but i see what your saying .

edinburgh is a place in the UK... i dont know if that is the edinburgh shes talking aboult... i mean why would she ? it dosent fit with every thing elce she said.

He didn't seem that compentent, don't know if he'll be a powerful weapon. What's Peter Pettigrew been up to in the 5th? We never heard him mentioned which is suspicious.
