OK with Stan out of the picture all I'm left with is 'Crookshanks being an animangus(sp)' thing again......UMMM well......Maybe not. Hang on, we meet Crookers in the 3rd too...... How long 'til July 16th? All this waiting is getting silly.

How about Hedwig as an animagus? No I believe it's the traveler who brought Aragog to Hogwarts. Remember Aragog came in the pocket of a traveler.

I think it's Hagrid. He's half giant. Maybe he is the prince of the giants?

Hi radiohead: Hagrid is a good guess although JKR mentioned that the clue to the Half Blood Prince is in the Chamber of Secrets book.

In the movie, Aragog is careful to mention that he came to Hogwarts in the pocket of a traveler. In the book, Aragog says that the traveler was from a distant land and he gave Hagrid a spider egg to care for. But who knows? Maybe the prince is Hagrid after all and the spider is just pulling our legs.

all this guessing is making me crazy!! i can't wait to find out who it really is, and then come back and see the posts from people who were right all along....

Nice one Radiohead but JKR said that Hagrid like Flitwick (whose half goblin- can you imagine that marriage?) are "half breeds not half bloods". (Come to think of it I've got problems figuring out the logictics of the Giantess/human relations......I'm going to move on now and get this picture out of my head)

Buffy: Good one! I've long thought that Hagrid's parents were a real challenge for the imagination. From the sound of it, giants are little better than trolls. So what do you think the difference is supposed to be between giants and trolls. Never could figure it out.

I thought that is could not be malfoy becuase we are positive that he is not half blood but pure blood. i took the title literal as refering to an half blood price literally half blood.
Victor i had a little problem we do not know much about him but i do
not think it is him. i think he will play an heroic role in the upcoming books.

A teacher, i think it's unlikely unless it is a new teacher(which still is under the same category as a new character)

Zonko: Glad to see I'm not the only one to think of such details which are,after all SOOO crucial to the plot...that and that I'm not the only pervy-minded one; jumping to the naughty bits. Talking of which, how do you know trolls are BETTER than giants?

There's going to be a new character called McClaggon in the 6th. Is he the half Blood Prince? This is a stupid question I know but there we go...

meicha: JKR said that we will see Viktor again but he won't play a crucial role (now I've written that I'm not 100% sure I've got that right. Ohh well, never stopped me before).
