Harry, definitely. True, his parents aren't human veggetables, but they are dead. He also has Voldemort after him, the Ministry hated him for awhile there, Umbridge made his life flamen' heck, and all that jazz. Poor dude, I'll give it to him though, he's carried it all admirably, I'd've gone berzerk, killed Umbridge and been sentenced to Azkaban for the next ten years.
Neville's gone through a lot, but nothing half as serious as Harry.

I almost forgot about the whole hand thing... that must've hurt!!!

In reply to KaraC i definately agree i just think that harry's problems are solved for example umbridge is no longer in hogwarts the ministry no longer hates him . his parents dead cannot be reversed and voldemort will be after him but i am sure in books to come he will have alot of fortunate plots . Neville has had no change , and i think that type of unfortunate plot is worse

hmm... this is rather hard to actually decide...

I don't think that all of harry's problems are solved, so to speak, but he has definitly overcome many of them.
I think Nelville has a lot to deal with, but not as much as Harry.
Harry's godfather has just been killed, and JK has said that another wizard will die... probably some one whom Harry is very close to.
I say Harry is the most unfortunate because he has so much on his plate... he has the huge responsibilty to defeat and kill the second most powerful wizard in the world, Neville dosn't have any problems even CLOSE to that level.

I agree with Kara -- Harry Definately!
Nevel at the very least still has family that loves him.
Harry is usually feeling very alone - his only living family hate and mistreat him
The magical community can't deciede if they are going to worsip - hate - or fear him. His godfather is dead. Even with Ron & Hermione at his side He has had to battle so many things without them -- without anyone.
