You do miss so much in the movies - like the Ron is King in Quiddich - I just loved that part of the book, because I knew he'd come through eventually! It was such a fun part of the book, imagining him wailing around after the ball - it lightened up the serious part of the story. And the swamp! the twin's swamp was wonderful! Love the books!!!

Books are better because the imagery and imagination are there where they aren't in the movies... Like movie 4 they only used 120 pages from the book to make the movie. The maze would have been awesome for the special effects alone. After movie one they started changing who did what in the movies. At lease movie one stayed true to the book. Sure they cut some parts out but they kept it going in the same line. In the rest of the movies they pretty much skipped back and forth thru the books. Never in a straight line. Dobby gave Harry the Gillyweed not Neville. I just like the books better. I have always been a reader. Even in grade school I would skip lunch and go to the library and read. Working graveyard I read about 4 books a week. Books rule.

Books ARE amazing ....

But I'm a visual person ....

The way Movies brought the Wizarding World to us is ASTOUNDING !!!

For example...well, what about:

The Giant Wizards Chess Set
The Library and the Books in the restricted Section
QUIDDITCH !!! I could never have imagined it like that...
The Great hall during the Yule Ball ...
The Magical Creatures ????
Flying through the night sky on Buckbeck ....
Dumbledores office


I LOVE the MOVIES of HP. I just wish they put in EVERYTHING.

I love the books.the movies leave so much out but they are both really good.The books are just more detailing.

i love to read and the books are way better becasue they have everything in it unlike the movies and you can have everything the way you want it. i do like the movies a lot tho becasue you can get a little better idea of what the character should look like and compare them to the ones you imagined.
