This, of course, is why goldfish don't drive because they can NEVER find their car keys.

We have a dog called Asbestos (found her as a pup on the garbage tip all covered in dust), two chickens (Epphonee Rae (from comedy show in Australia called 'Kath and Kim') and Parmasagna(sp)), guinea pig called Fetta and a rabbit called... wait for it... Thumper.

seriously sirius; Cane toads are evil aren't they?!
nb. I don't use the word 'evil' too often. These things though, are like ... Hitler nasty!! They're like mimbulus mimbletonia on legs. Covered in warty pustuals, they don't spew stinksap, they spit poison that can blind you. They were introduced into the sugar canefields of northern Australia and have been creeping down towards us - southern Aussies- for the last 30 years. Bloody biological pesticides just do not seem to work. Go garlic and pyrethum I say. Cures everything and tastes better than my Mum's chicken soup.

I heard that SOME kookaburras have learnt to flip them and kill 'em before they squirt their poison. How clever is that!? Aus. flora n fauna is nothing if not innovative and bloody tough.

Any way. Where were we? Animals at Hoggers:
# A Hippogrif would be cool. Imagine the impact when Buckbeck brought your mail in the morning! Kinda make Malfoy's eagle owl look pretty lame. It'd have fun living in the owlery. Though none of the owls would either have fun or... live...
# If you're gonna have a cat, think big. How's about a tiger?? Or a sphinx??
# Gotta be a phoenix for me. Good looking, loyal, rare therefore cool, useful (healing powers), deliver messages and seem almost telepathic with their ability to comunicate. AND they're indistructible so they've got it ALL over goldfish

I would have to totally go with cats because I love them.
They are so cuddly and cute.

Some people don't think so, but you just have to know how to handle them right. NEVER look them straight in the eye for very long, don't laugh at them because cats are very egotistical, and run away if they are wagging their tail, trust me its a bad thing.

Besides birds aren't my thing they poop everywhere.

And a toad is so out of style these days.

It was hard choosing between a cat and an owl, but the cat won in the end.

I just love cats! And especially for that creepy look they give people! I have two cats, one's black (name's Myri), and the other's a light-colored calico (name's Cassy). And my sister has a dog that is a mix between a Jack Russel Terrier and a chuiwawa (I don't know how to spell it), his name is Andy, and he's really hyper!

I'd bring a cat, if we're only allowed to pick from those three, and, if we're using JK's rules about these animals.
Sure owls are useful, but there's more to Crookshanks and even Mrs. Norris than meets the eye. It doesn't actually say so in the books, but I get the impression that Sirius and Crookshanks talked to each other. And is Filch just following his cat around the castle whenever she suddenly turns up at his side? I think not. They have their own way of communicating even if it's not with words. That's pretty darn useful, I'd say. Besides, the school has owls that anyone can use, so I can still send mail.

I have already thought about this. I would bring a black cat named Jacob.
