Merlin! Oh, "The Lovely Bones", I remember that! The one with the girl, and the underground...and the ghost, and the icicle... right? That was so long ago, I'd completely forgotten about it. It was written very well though... you wanted to keep reading despite yourself. And you don't actively remember it, but it's there, in some dark corner of your mind.

and some romance books are good if i am in the mood that is

I'm halfway into the "His Dark Materials" series- and I'm loving it. It's somewhat fragmented and slightly insane, but it's definitely good.
