A man rides into a town on Friday. He stays for 3 days and rides out again on Friday? How is this possible?

The only thing I could think of was that someone buttered their toast on both sides??? Otherwise, I'm not coming up with any obviously correct answer...:/

I only ever butter one side of toast - but if ever I drop it - it ALWAYS falls with the buttered side on the ground and the non-buttered side facing the air....

My question is - why?

I've thought of two possibilities. Which do you like?

a) because the buttered side is heavier. You flip it in your attempt to prevent it from falling, and it falls like a pair of loaded dice.

b) because you don't remember the times it falls butter-side-up.

[I think the second is more likely.]

Next Question: Why does Gingobibble drop the toast so often that such a pattern is noticable?

you are now in second place.

If you had overtaken the person in first place - THEN you would be in the lead.

Suppose you want to cook an egg for exactly 3 minutes. You have only a 5 minute hourglass timer and a 2 minute hourglass timer. Using these 2 timers, how can you boil the egg for exactly 3 minutes?
