All correct by Gingobibble .....Hihihihihi ....I can't believe they had my hometown in todays Sunday mail ...goooo ...Wellington

Hmmm ....Next Question ~

The Muggle Game show host and Arthur Weasley

" Now Arthur , Before you, you can see 10 closed doors. 9 doors reveal nothing; one door hides a Ferrari…"

"What's a Ferrari " asked Arthur

"It's a top of the range sports car ...very fast and if you choose the right door, it’s yours!"

Arthur heard Molly take a gasp of air. It took him a moment to think it out since he had sworn not to use magic in any form as a goodwill muggle relations gesture. Finally he had it , but just as he was about to open his chosen door the host stopped him and said;

"One moment Arthur ...I'll give you a helping hand". With that , he opened 8 doors revealing nothing behind them and left only leaving two doors to choose from. The door Arthur chose in his mind was still available but then the game show host asked ;

"Now Arthur , which door would you like to choose?"

Q: Which door should Arthur choose? His original choice or the one he is offered ? ( Explain your answer )

Hint:
The gameshow guy DOES know where the Ferrari is and
He has done this before (open 8 doors) for other contestants and all those hopefuls in the fututre.

PS: Hey Gingo ...must be time for another one of your riddles hey ?

He must stay with aoriginale choice becouse it is a game of distraction, the game host is traying to fool the contestans by preteding to be helping them so they thing they have a wrong door and change they awsner...So he shoud stay with a door he first picked....

Both of the final doors have an equal probability of holding the car...or do they?

Each door had a 10% chance of having the car. Take away 5 doors and each door has a 20% chance. Take away all but two doors and they each have a 50% chance of having the car.

The question is:

If every door had a 10% chance of hiding a ferrari.

When the host opened 8 doors leaving 2 remaining, does the one he left for you to open have a 90% chance of having the car or 50% chance of hiding the car ...

Blahh ...now I'm confused.

It's not a logic puzzle at all, or a statistics puzzle.
It's a psychology puzzle, and a bad one.
Without more information, it's just nonsense.

Can we have another puzzle? A good one?
