Ponder this:
Any cat has three tails. You don't believe me? Well, think about it: Any cat has more tails than no cat, right? And no cat has two tails. So any cat must have three tails!
(From the book For the last time,"Who's There?!")

This seems tooo easy, but often the easiast answer is the best so I will say 1 orange or three oranges.

if I take away two oranges...I have those two oranges in my hand.
the answer is two.

if the question is: if you take away two oranges, how many will I have left. the answer then is ONE.
