Lightbulb US vs UK English

I've discovered a number of threads and questions relating to words used in the Harry Potter books.

Can I please refer people to

Dictionary | English | American ⇔ British | Lexicon
Dictionary.com

If you don't know what words mean - please look them up!

the first is a link to a British-American english translation site.
the second is simply a dictionary.

I was going to ask, rhetorically, "Is the word, "CV" in there?" -- assuming it would not be. And just to be a smart azz, I figured I'd look it up so I could say that it's not between "current account" and curtains."
By George, it's there!

grin....
CV is a standard replacement for the word Resume.
Curriculum Vitae = CV (latin) of course.

can't apply for a job in this country without being asked for a resume or CV.
