While both authors are brilliant, its gotta be HP for me. Tolkien's books just havent intrigued me as much as the HP series.....

Well..i read both series and i loved them...yes they have similarities but to me they are very different...and both authors are great!! although Tolkien is a more complicated to read...
they can both take me to wonderful places and that's why i love them....

I totally agree with you CynthiaM. I must admit that I've only seen the movies of LOTR and with HP I've read the books and seen the movies. Comparing the two I can see the simalarities but I see them as two seperate intaties.
