You know, the more I think about the wand ownership theory, the more I feel like the fact that Harry ended up with the Elder Wand's allegiance is, in itself, a huge string of luck. First off, the theory itself is weak, but evidently the ways that benefit Harry all work (i.e. Expelliarmus and overpowering of the "master"'s main wand). Second off, between the end of HBP and the middle of DH, it seems ridiculously lucky to me that Draco was never ONCE disarmed. Or that, after starting to use Draco's wand, which was NOT a perfect fit for Harry, he wasn't disarmed EITHER- despite the fact that this did occured earlier in DH.

And finally- does ANYONE understand how it is that Dumbledore was able to gain the allegiance of the Elder Wand from Grindelwald, (supposedly, if the earlier books are to go by, in a duel), while the Elder Wand is UNBEATABLE??? o_0

Building off what Teddy said.

If supposedly disarming a person wins you they're wands allegiance then how on earth does Lockhart have a wand? All the members of the DA? Including various other people that were disarmed like Harry, Ron and Hermione in POA when Lupin took their wands? It makes NO sense!
Now you could argue that "You have to have 'bad intentions'" How on earth is your wand going to know that?
Any answers?

well the wand chooses the wizard and i would hesitate a guess that the wand would recognize its true owner over those who had took it from them.
And how do you beat an unbeatable wand? Dis Grindewald just trip and drop his wand? and then Dumbledore picked it up.

if you don't like the Dh because of all the "lucky" things that happen then you should not like the whole series
