How Important Is Hufflepuff?

How cool is it that I posted this last a day before my b'day last year and it's now a half an hour past my b'day NOW!! This site is like the diary I never kept- it shows that things change, yet stay the same and that even I am capable of profound self-indulgent pap! lol

At least one murder in the last book was a relative of a Hufflepuff kids. Amelia Bones - (see page 18 of Bloomsbury edition) was Hufflepuff Susan Bones' aunt and also in book 6 Hannah Abbott is called out of a lesson to be informed that her mother had been found dead. I can't find where it is, so I don't remember if it was an actual murder... but we can guess it was. So in a way the scene is set for Hufflepuff kids to be actively involved in fighting Voldemort, not to mention Cedric's death two years before hand.
