Voldemorts wand???

I have a question that i would really appreciate if somebody could answer.

What happened to voldemorts wand after he tried to murder Harry? as He could not hold it being less that a spirit as has been proven later on in the series by Wormtail feeding him and carrying his wand. Why did the ministry not take and destroy the wand when they arrived on the scene? I'm sure they have ways of recognising wands and would have had no problems identifying this murderous wand used so many times to kill for sport. who retrieved the wand??

I think that the ministry would have been there to prevent anybody entering the house as it was destroyed by highly dangerous and evil magic therefore would have been very unstable which concludes that although yes hagrid entered the house for Harry he says that he got out just in time before people started swarming and this suggests that their will have been somebody to witness Wormtail entering the house and proccuring the wand and even if he did hide it then somebody will have alerted the aurors and accidental magical reversal squad of the strange behaviour of someone entering a run down house not long after the incident.

With this i conclude that it would have been impossible for anybody but the ministry to proccur Voldemorts wand but they did not and this strikes me as odd. I have many more theories and questions if you would like to know please do not hesitate to ask.

Ok I would love to hear some of your theories. How do you think Peter got the wand?

I think the ministry under the pretence of being overjoyed by Voldemorts' apparent dismissal failed to check the house over properly therefore the wand remained hidden and When Peter went and sought Voldemort after being cornered by black and faking his death voldemort explained about his wand forcing Either Wormtail or Quirril to enter the house and retrieve the wand or being connected to Quirril he had him summon his wand and the wand would have sensed Voldemort and came to him. I'm sure that this would not work with Wormtail as to beat a wand you have to either take it from the owner or take it without the owner knowing. I also belive that Voldemorts wand had built up the same connection as with Harry and his wand therefore would not have answered the call of any but voldemort or someone of higher power than Voldemort.

Have you noticed any strange connections to Voldemort and Harry other than the scar and the soul?? I shan't say much more however if you get this i will be very surprised as it is rare when i address this point that people understand...

Interesting....but didn't Voldamort meet up with Quirrill in a forest some where and connected to him then? As for the ministry not checking the house properly, I can see that. It is possible that when Peter escaped from Serius and Lupin and went running to Voldamort, he was instrcuted to go to the house to retrieve his wand if it was still there. And Harry and Voldamort were ophans and grew up in homes that were hostle to them both. They were both half-bloods and were decendants of great wizzards. Nothing else seems to be coming to me. What have you got?

Well, I think I can work with it....If the Invisability Cloak was pasted down to Harry and the ring that Voldamorts father had was passed down.....They started as a threesome with also the Elder Wand....it was three brothers that owned those items......which were passed down to their desendants. Am I close?

SPot on babe well done no one ever gets that but i suppose they don't pay much attention and therefore can't be Potter fans like they say they are. How long did it take you to figure that out?? or had you already thought about it I really admire your knowledge.. do you have any theories???

Never really thought about it before but when you said they may be related it made me think HOW. The only thing I could think of was the three deathly hallows and the three BROTHERS(key word). If Harry recieved it from his father and Voldamorts father got it from his father......and so forth. I wonder why that wasn't addressed before?
