Hi guys, my name's Dianne. I'm new here and am doing an assignment on this. Was just wondering, who loves Harry and why? How did all of you come about to be such big fans of Him???

well i do! Hi i'm Jen, 46, from York, England. How did I come to be a fan? Thru my kids of course - eldest is 17 and a huge HP fan - both books and films.

Hi there I'm shirl from Australia an adult and mum of two teens.
I meet Harry as a night time story to my children then toddlers.
I fell in Love ...read and re-read all the books , went to the movies , brought the movis ooohhh and then found other like minded people here.

Heya im katie, im 16. I lv HP, as it was the only place i could escape the bullies, and finally be me. In the wonderful world of HP, I lost my bullies nad became me, and this helped me. It also helps that i lv the books, and possibly no alot about them. But they helped which im grateful for.

Hi...My name is Azra and I am 21 and from Croatia...I love Hp because it is only place I can escape from the real busy world...My mom gave me my first HP book when I was 11 and you can say that I grow up with HP and his friends...

Hi, dmp945. Welcome to Harry Potter Chat.

Why does everyone love Harry Potter? More reasons than you can count. And a lot of us want more, so we join places like this, again, for more reasons than you can count.

We have forums here that you can't see until you have 200 posts or more. In one of them is a thread just for us old-timers. For a minute, I thought of moving that thread so that you can see it, but some of it is private. They can bring some of their thoughts to here if they like.

I'm Natasza or Tash, I'm 29 from England and have loved Harry for the last 8 years but have only really wallowed in my obsession for the last couple of years, managing to convert a few more to the cause along the way. I had a Harry Potter themed birthday in feb and dressed up as Ginny. I had two cakes made for me by my mum and sister in law, one in the shape of the Hogwarts Castle and one in the shpae of the Hogwarts Express. My dad, who is a carpenter, made us all wands and everyone dressed up. I love the way Harry Poter brings everyone together. My family and friends all made such an effort even though lots of them aren't into Harry Potter and some even became fans after the party. I'm new to forums but have already met so many friendly people, of different ages, from around the world. It can only be a positive thing

My name is Pips and I am from the US. I am 21 and a college student. I got my first Harry Potter book as a birthday gift from my favorite aunt. I was hooked! My aunt and I camped out at the Barnes and Noble's in my hometown so we would be among the first to get our copies of the last book. She always takes me to the first showing of the movies and buys my dvd the day they come out. She has always encouraged the "Magical Person" in each of us to come out.For my 20th birthday she gave me a copy of "Puff the Magic Dragon" and I am pretty sure "Peter Pan" is in my future. But Harry Potter will always be first in our hearts!

I love the HP series b/c the stories and characters draw you in. You read, re-read the books. On a rainy day, why not cosy up and watch a HP movie?
I've been fascinated w/ magical stories and movies since I was a kid. It keeps the kid in me viable.......

Hi! My name is Atiqah. I know my name sounds stupid. Now I am new to this website chat, so I do not know when the button gonna take me to. So anyway, I love Harry Potter! I became 1st in the whole level of Primary 5 in my school. (I am a Singaporean so the levels are not the same as in Australia.)The reason I got top position in school because I read all the Harry Potter books again and again. I love Harry Potter so much that my auntie at Australia had bought me all the clothes, wands, schoolbooks and lods more as present for my good results at school. I can't be Harry because I am a girl so I dressed up as Ginny for Halloween and my birthday party. I actually wanted spectacles same as Harry's but the size is too small so a bought one almost the same as his! (I even have his biography!)
