Was James Potter a big bully much like Malfoy? I tend to think so, although it doesn't say too much about it except for the litttle flashbacks into Snapes memory. Do you think Harid is a muggle hater? Did you get mad with the ending of Deathly Hallows?

James was jerk becouse of the things he did to Severus, and he deserved what happened to him
i don't think Hagrid was muggle hater, thought back in the 1st book he did say something that was offensive for muggles, and was not alike him at all

i think james was a bully to some extend but when lily came to the picture he got back to his sense !
he might have been really mean to snape but i think he ended up regretting what he've done.
i think james have apologized to snape about his childlike acts at hogwarts.
maybe snape never over come it, when james showed his regrets.

but exactly how was he? I must ponder this one.

I hate t think fo Harry's father as a Bully. He didn't like snape and the Dark Arts; but I don't see him as a bully. A bigheaded showoff maybe. I wish we had alittle more to go on with james. I thought at first that Snape didn't give a d... about Lily Evans (calling her a Mudblood during the scene where James is hanging Snape up by his ankle);however we discover in Book seven that he has been in love with her from an early age.
