~ Living Avatars ~

The number of posts you have made is the amount of points you can spend. Go to "Options," then "edit Avatar." If you're confused, as I was for a while, just click "Purchase Item."

I've been ignoring them since we got 'em, maybe a year ago. Now I'm playing around with them. They work, even when they don't work. (I'm at that awkward stage when I can't have an Avatar, but it still shows on my Profile.)

I should figure out the proper way.

I hit "quote," copy the whole thing, and dump it in "WordPad," leaving all the quote codes as-is.
Then minimize "WordPad" and go get another one.
Then I write whatever I've got to say and cut & paste the whole thing back to the box thingie.
It loses all the fancy fonts & colors, but the text itself is fine.

I need to compose stuff elsewhere anyway, because this thing is so glitchy that I usually can't finish before it goes wacky and I lose it all.

Either that, or save before I'm finished and then finish in "edit" mode.

At 98 posts, Psysquid is now a Second Year
and the Avitar has returned.

Quote:
Update:
The Living Avitar was just too wimpy and needed a set of Dual Uzis.
So I went on a spamming spree and brought my posts up to 140.
Mission accomplished, Uzis locked and loaded.
Then I deleted about 25 of the spam posts.
The system did not repossess.
Has anyone ever deleted a Living Avitar?
If I exchange it for a picture of a dragon, do I get my points back?
Better yet, can I ditch it and start over?
Or does all the junk I bought just go into the closet?

Right... When you post or when you reply to a thread, you'll notice several interesting doohickeys above the window that you write in... text alignment, font sizes and colors, etc. Among these, you'll see a yellow picture of what appears to be a mountain/hill-like thing. If you place your mouse over it, it says 'Insert Image'...
In order to insert an image, you need to copy the address. Just right-click on the image of your choice; a small window opens which contains details of the picture. Click on 'Properties'. Copy the url address from the information that appears (www.balhblahblah).
Paste the URL address into the little window that opens when you press the 'Insert Image' icon. The image you have chosen will appear in the place where your cursor is set in your posting/replying area.
