i think to use the peniseve you need to know your memories and you have to remove them because when slughorn covered his uo Dumbledore said Slughorn was either forgeting and pretending or hiding something. So I think the penesiev would not havw worked andf what would Dumbldore have ot gain by putting Harry through such a horrible thing as I want to see your parents die.
