Hi DH133,

Don't worry .... sometimes there's no one here... but don't give up!
It usually just means people from other countries are sleeping while you are awake.
Here's the number of posts required to get you up each level.

Muggle // 0 (Can post an introduction, but cannot start posts in other forums)
Squib // 5
First Year // 20
Second Year // 100
Third Year // 200 (eligible for admission to Hogsmeade?)
Fourth Year // 400
Fifth Year // 700
Househead 5th Year // 1200
Sixth Year // 1800
Househead 6th Year // 2500
Seventh Year // 4000
Prefect // 6000
Hogwarts Graduate // 8000
Ministry of Magic // 10,000
