Hello, I have a question re: animated version

Hi my pertronis is a Vixen I am a great fan of the Harry Potter books and movies. I have a question concerning the animated version of Harry Potter.

Years ago, before the first movie came out, I remember seeing a full trailer for Harry Potter and is was all animated (cartoon version). I don't think it was ever released, because then the live action movie came out.

Does anyone else remember seeing this? And do you know if it was released anywhere?

Hi Vixen, no I don't remember an animated version. Sorry. Was it a cartoon that covered the 1st book, or a series about the Harry, etc.?

I don't remember it at all, but I just got up from a nap, so I'm not necessarily the best one to answer

Maybe someone else will.

It looked like a full length animated movie based on the first book. It showed clips of Hagrid showing up and collecting Harry and then them in a boat crossing the moat at Hogwarts with other first years.

hello vixen! hmmmm i must say i dont remember an animated verision... are you from the U.S? perhaps it was a foreign animation and was released abroad?

Now that's a thought - a foreign version - I'm so U.S. centric - trying desperately to break that nasty habit!

AND it makes me wish once again that instead of our ZODIAC signs we had our countries of origin listed in the upper right hand corner of our posts.
