Hello all,

I just found this in a google search. I am a middle school teacher and a huge H.P fan. A student turned me on to it almost 7 years ago! I finished book seven and really wanted to discuss it with others. I have talked my mother, sister and brother's ears off but I just can't get enough.

I loved the book-- cried throughout and when it was all over I just wanted to go up to Jo Rowling and hug her!

Oh, ok! I teach Language Arts and Yearbook. I'm such a huge fan of the potter series that my students actually tease me. Since it was on the list for A.R (kids can earn points for each book they read) I read aloud Order of the Phoenix with my critical thinking class. Some loved it and others slept but I am sure most of them went to the movie this summer. I thought it was alright. I am annoyed that the house elf characters have been missing from the last few movies.

Ah well digital characters cost money!

Welcome! I just discovered this place too - just a few days ago. Oh how I wish I had known about it sooner! I too have talked ears off of anyone who would listen! Mostly my daughter, who is Harry's age and grew up with him. We are both so sad it's over! (I'm a teacher too. Two weeks left before school's back)

i would have to agree with you i loved the last book and i also cried while reading it especially when a certain house elf died !

I am new as well, and I too discovered this place recently, although I wished it had been earlier. It would have saved my friends and family random outbursts of "Horcruxes? If that isn't a LOTR reference than I'm a house elf." and "What! How could she right Severus as a bad guy! That is SO childish."
