Well, I personally believe that Dumbledore is dead for good! He might show his wisdom through his portrait in the Headmasters study, but I doubt that Harry will be allowed in there to talk to Dumbledore especially when he is going to drop out!

Now that you mention it... I think Dumbledore and Snape were the only ones who knew AT FIRST. But over time, it wouldn't hurt to let a few people in on it. Responsible, trusted people who have mastered Occlumency. Harry and Hagrid should be the last to know. Hagrid couldn't keep a secret to save his life. Harry has that connection to Voldemort -- if Harry believes that Dumbledore is dead, Voldemort will know that it's true.

When the books comes out and if it says that Dumbledore is dead or at least doesn't show him coming back are you still going to believe he is still alive, or will the 7th book finish all theories of him being alive?

If the seventh book shows Dumbledore definitively dead or not returning, I will simply believe the author is simply lying in her own book
