Movie Mistakes

I know there was the mistake during the sorting where the seating becomes messed up, but what other mistakes are in the movie?

According to Movie Mistakes, there are a ton of mistakes that were found in the first Harry Potter film. You can see the full list here.

Here are a few mistakes they found:

1. When the three children get past Fluffy because the harp is playing, as Fluffy wakes he dribbles on Ron's shoulder. However, when they fall down into the Devil's Snare, his shirt is completely dry.

2. In the flying class scene, Hermione's hair is crimped. Later, when you see the class looking at Neville after his fall, you see that her hair is straight. The very next shot she's in, her hair's crimped again.

3. When Harry receives his first letter in the mail, Dudley snatches it from him before he has a chance to open it. Then he gives it to his father (Uncle Vernon), and Uncle Vernon says "Who'd be writing to you?" If you watch Dudley carefully, you can see him mouth what Uncle Vernon is saying.

wow i really didn't notice these things . Wow i can't believe it.

how could i also be so incredibly stupid to miss these mistakes i have watched the movies over 2,285 times and thouroughly analyzed and critiqued each and every scene. Also there is a brief nude scene if you watch the credits backwards in slow motion.

they also occasionally do not put harry's scar on his forehead if it is not needed in that scene.

Dolores, you really are horrible. That's so not true. *rolls eyes*

In Chamber of Secrets, Harry jumps out of his bedroom window into the Weasley's flying car. Uncle Vernon leans out the window and grabs Harry's skinny rightr ankle. At the end of the movie, Harry lifts his right pant leg to show Lucius Malfoy where Dobby's sock came from. The right ankle had doubled in thickness. Amazing! All that food at Hogwarts. You think it would stick to your ribs.

In the Sorcerer's Stone, the fat lady's picture swings out. In Prisoner of Azkaban, the fat lady's picture swings into the Gryffindor Common Room.

Mistakes or magic? That is the question.

Those are really interesting obsevations.
Though when I think about it, I hate finding movie mistakes, I prefer to sit in open mouth wonder, rather than going "this movie bites!"

You misunderstand. It's like having a freckle on your right hand but not on your left. Only you know this and that's what makes your hand right distinctive. Or the dent in your trunk that makes your car distinctive or that your dog has one ear higher than the other. Shakespeare said it best, "It's a poor thing but mine own."

*smiles* Dang! I don't understand your explanation!

Okay. How's this. I enjoy a movie more when I catch the flaws. It makes it more my movie than someone who doesn't notice anything wrong. Lumos?
